In 2015, HOLLYWOOD ADVENTURES was released in China to a $53mil box office. It was the first Chinese/American co-production between Justin Lin’s Perfect Storm and Beijing Enlight Pictures. It stars Zhao Wei, Huang Xiaoming, Tong Dawei, as well as Kat Dennings, Robert Patrick, Rhys Coiro, Sung Kang, Simon Helberg, Missi Pyle, Rick Fox, and Stephen Tobolowski.
The film was a 40 day shoot, mostly in Los Angeles, and a few days in China. During post production, pickup shots were filmed in Timothy Kendall’s basement and around Los Angeles to help finish principal photography. Kendall further went on to personally craft over 250 visual effect shots to complete the film.
